Therapeutic Qigong
What is Qigong? ‘Qi’ is our vital life force energy, and ‘gong’ means diligent practice, skill, and cultivation.
Qigong is an internal practice of mental focus, deep breathing, and body movement that cultivates our life force energy.
It is important to be comfortable, relaxed, and in an environment that supports a smooth flow of Qi.
Therapeutic Qigong is a form of Medical Qigong and it is practiced to aid healing. It is a combined form of Qigong that includes structured, well-designed physical movements that work the whole body. Controlled breathing, slow stretching, and self-massage cultivate internal Qi and promote blood circulation that benefit organs and other body parts to improve health and eliminate illness.
Therapeutic Qigong is practiced for to relieve stress, anxiety, improve memory, heal autoimmune conditions, support weight loss, swollen body, puffy face and eyes, skin issues, certain cancers, and injuries, to name only a few. Modern life is busy and we are far removed from what is naturally healthy for us. We often don’t have time to cultivate our energy and spirit. If we take a moment to nurture ourselves each day and take care of our Qi, our body and mind can be refreshed and recharged. Spending the time and learning to focus on our energy now will lead to a healthy and happy life in the present moment, and also as we grow older.
We must give ourselves the love and attention we require to feel our best.
